Developed as a simple system for recording ballistic data when reloading and keeping track of different load recipes for variations in bullets types and weights, propellant types and load grains, primers and other relevant information.
Users will find this information useful for testing different load types, as all these variables lead to different ballistic characteristics. This information will also assist and show the users that they are not using too light/heavy a load, indicating what the maximum stresses are, so as to not put too much stress on the user’s firearm.
This application allows the user to capture loading events and information in respect of the relevant loads, and allows recordings against other recorded events for easy comparison of test loads.
An event is a load and it's associated ballistic results. For the event, the load date, load information and a description which can include extra information such as where the records can be entered for the users records. This assists in allowing the user to record their load recipe.
Shot recording can only be done against "unlocked" events. This is to prevent accidental capture of recordings by the user once an event and recordings are complete. (When creating a new event, it is unlocked by deault. To lock an event, check the "locked" option under "Manage events")
The user can select an unlocked event and capture speed readings. This provides the user with a simple list, allowing the user to enter optional/additional information if required for each shot.
In this version, units are ignored and in most cases, no attempt to verify data captured is done.
The developer is Norman Strydom, a person an interest in both reloading of bullets and mobile development. Contact details - normanstrydom@gmail.com.
Having an interest in both mobile development and shooting, the developer thought this would be a fun project which would assist himself and other loaders in keeping proper record of load recipes and information in an easy, accessible location, allowing the user to record important information on-the-go.
This application should be treated as a physical notebook, keeping track of loads, recordings and other information. The data and information recorded by the user is only recorded, and accessible, on the users device, and is not recorded, duplicated or distributed in any manner whatsoever to the developer or a third party.
Accuracy of data is the user's responsibility. The developer accepts no responsibility for the accuracy of the information input by the user, or any information output and/or reflected in this application in any manner whatsoever.
This application is for personal use, and the user is welcome to make use of it without any costs, subscriptions, in-app advertisements and/or purchases. The developer makes no warranty that the application will be updated or enhanced at any point in the future, and any future updates should be regarded as a once off event.
Despite this, the developer would like to enhance the application if necessary, and if any user has any input or suggestions to improve the app, features and/or functionality, the developer requests the user to contact him at the above e-mail address.
